Ruderalis is one of the three species of cannabis besides indica and sativa. Originally, ruderalis was considered as a wild breed of cannabis that can survive human activities and even adapt to extremely harsh conditions. The plant has small leaves and a short stature that only grows to about 2 feet tall hence the name dwarf cannabis. Ruderalis most notable characteristic is its ability to begin flowering based on changes in the plant instead of its environment (auto-flowering). The plant has low THC concentrations making it less favorable for recreational or medical use. It’s native origin is traced back in Russia.
